S.M.A.R.T. Brain Games

S.M.A.R.T. Brain Games is designed to improve focus, concentration, memory and learning skills in any individual while having fun playing regular off-the-shelf video games. It is the only Neurofeedback Technology developed, patented and tested at NASA.

How it Works
S.M.A.R.T. Brain Games uses a standard Sony PlayStation 2 and games with a custom hand controller and special EEG (Electroencephalogram) computer. The computer Smart Brain Gamesaccurately measures Brainwave activity through sensors, safely placed on the surface of the head. This brainwave activity is processed through a sophisticated feedback system integrated into the hand controller.

When a participant is not focused, the hand controller limits the amount of functionality in the game. As focus improves, game play improves too. This process effectively exercises the individuals brain during the course of treatment, leading to increased awareness and focus.

The Center for Attention Deficit and Learning Disorders uses two S.M.A.R.T. Brain Games Systems using technology provided through exclusive licenses with NASA:

S.M.A.R.T. Clinical System:
This system, located in our offices, is utilized to improve overall mental functioning in a clinical environment.

S.M.A.R.T. Home System:
This system is designed to be used in the comfort and convenience of your home on an ongoing basis, typically following initial treatment in a clinical setting. For identified clinical conditions,we can personalize the S.M.A.R.T. Home System and oversee your ongoing progress through routine monitoring.
